What if the person do not accept the service?
In most cases the person being served a document does not have to accept the service in order for it to be considered effective. If the defendant comes to the door but refuses the papers being served, the process server may just have to leave them at their feet and then walk away.
You are located in Manitoba. Do I have to pay for notarizing a document served in Saskatchewan?
No, we have access to Manitoba and Saskatchewan Commissioners for Oaths and there is no need of notary for most documents. No charges are due for Commissioners for Oaths.
Do you provide an affidavit or do I have to make one?
If you prefer you may provide a blank affidavit in your establishment’s format, otherwise we will create an affidavit for you at no extra charge.
What is the cost for serving documents?
Costs depend from the location and the urgency. Services in Flin Flon and the nearby surrounding area is $70 plus mileage and costs (approximately $82 total). This includes 3 attempts at completing a service. Costs for other areas are mostly dictated by urgency. For example, if the client is not rushed we can split the mileage amongst different services, reducing the relative cost compared to a single trip.
